NDI

You can connect multiple devices to a single networked computer using an NDI over USB adapter. Many NDI cameras come equipped with PTZ functionality, which uses the two-way communication capabilities of NDI. The cameras can control multiple devices via a single ethernet cable, and can send audio and video files. NDI over USB adapters have both USB and ethernet connections. These adapters can be found online or at your local video store.

NDI over USB

NDI is a standard for transmitting video and audio over a network. The standard is designed to support all resolutions, frame rates, and video streams, and is flexible enough to handle a variety of application needs. In addition to video and audio, NDI also supports metadata messages. While most implementations are based on RGBA and 8-bit video, NDI also supports 10 and 16-bit video. Additionally, NDI supports audio-only and metadata-only connections.

NDI encoders

An NDI encoder is a device used to pass a digital video signal between two devices. In this instance, the two devices are connected using USB, and the encoder simulates the function of an ethernet connection. The result is a stream of high-quality video, which is then available over the computer’s LAN. The NDI codec used is full-quality and not low-bitrate NDI-HX, so the resulting output is high quality.

NDI cameras

NDI (Network Digital Interface) is the new standard for videoconferencing, enabling video meetings to be held from any location. It provides a standard interface and communication protocols to connect cameras and other devices. Its two-way communication capabilities enable it to communicate with computers and other devices, including PCs. NDI cameras can connect to multiple devices via a single ethernet cable, and they offer PTZ functionality. Using a single USB or ethernet cable, NDI cameras can also transmit and receive audio and video files.

Streamlabs OBS

Before you can use Streamlabs OBS for NDD over USB, you need to connect your camera to your computer. There are many options for this, including a direct USB connection for cameras like the Saber20x Webcam and broadcast quality cameras. You can also connect to a capture device using HDMI or SDI, such as a Blackmagic Design UltraStudio Mini Recorder. Once the device is connected, double-click the 4K Capture Utility to use it.

Saber20x NDI Camera

The Saber20x is a compact yet powerful NDI encoder over USB that converts HDMI signals into Full-NDI streams. In addition to its HDMI input, the U40 also supports a wide variety of protocols such as RTSP, RTMP, HLS, and TS-UDP. Its dual Gigabit Ethernet ports allow it to support two different networks simultaneously. Regardless of your connection type or operating system, the U40 will work flawlessly.
