FAQ

The first question to ask yourself is, “Can Zoom control a PTZ camera?” You can do so in many ways. If you’re not using a PTZ camera, you can still request camera control if you’re a participant in Zoom. Simply request this feature and you’ll receive a prompt that allows you to pan, tilt, and zoom your camera. This can be done via the Zoom app or the Logitech PanTiltZoom control.

You can set preset numbers on a PTZ camera to control zoom and focus in the desired position. To do so, select the camera in question, hold the “Preset” button for at least three seconds, and then press the preset number. The preset number will appear on the controller’s display. When the camera is in manual mode, use the “Iris/Shutter” knob to control the zoom.

The zoom control on your PTZ camera is usually found on the HUD. You can access it by selecting it from the Cameras list. When you select a PTZ camera, you’ll see its live video stream. Then, you can toggle between zooming in and out by tapping the PTZ icon or clicking the button under the video stream. To enable manual control, swiping to the right of the video display displays the PTZ controls. If you need a high quality colour video image to capture corporate boardrooms, lecture theaters and training suites, the VDO360 Auto Pilot camera system is the solution. Its zoom control provides smooth and easy movement for the camera to refocus on the desired location.

The camera also offers a variety of settings for adjusting the camera’s zoom and iris. Its zoom range is up to 25mm and its manual controls allow the user to set the camera’s focal length from zero to 80 mm. The same technology used for Zoom Room PTZ camera controls can be used for far end remote PTZ camera controls.
