USB 2.0 cables can be extended to a length of 30 meters, or around the 98-foot mark. However, USB 3.0 and 3.1 cables are only extended up to 18 metres (about about 59ft). This is assuming that the original cable is in use. If it’s not active, the maximum distance of the USB 2.0 decreases to 25 meters, which is approximately 82 feet.
