WebEx as a business was listed on the NASDAQ National Market and the NASDAQ Global Select Market in the year 2006. A year later, Cisco Systems acquired the firm. Cisco purchased WebEx to compete with Microsoft and other software companies that collaborate. The company was renamed Webex Meetings in April of 2018.
